PRESIDENT Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to launch the Accelerated Oil and Gas
Capacity (AOGC) Programme at the Regional Maritime University in Accra, today with the aim of building the capacity of Ghanaians to manage the oil and gas sector.
A statement signed by a communications specialist with the Ministry of Energy Nana Kofi Oppong-Damoah indicated that the launch is in fulfillment of the Government’s campaign promise of aggressively investing in education and skills enhancement of Ghanaians to manage the oil and gas sector.
The programme will build capacity of Ghanaians in four thematic areas namely:
Technical, Vocational, Apprenticeship Development and Utilization;
Capacity Development of Educational Institutions;
SME Capacity Building; and
Public Institutional Development & Sector Management.
