GNPC was last Saturday, 17TH July adjudged The Oil & Gas Company of the Year, at the Millennium Excellence Awards, held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. The event was chaired by His Royal Highness Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

In attendance was His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president of the Republic of Ghana. GNPC was represented by DCE (Finance and Administration), Mr Benjamin Acolatse & GM (Sustainability & Stakeholder Relations), Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh.

The citation accompanying the award read ' The Life Patron, HRM Otumfuo Osei Tutu II - Asantehene and the illustrious Board of Governors of the Millennium Excellence Foundation, are pleased to confer on the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) the coveted Millennium Excellence Award for Oil and Gas Company in high recognition of its invaluable contribution to the development of Ghana. The GNPC has attracted huge investments for exploration and production into the country and has also enhanced Ghana's total benefit from our petroleum resources.
