A former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), MrTsatsuTsikata, says he does not regret holding public office.
Mr. Tsikata said he believes his contribution to the public sector over the years has been significant because he has worked hard enough and served with humility.
The former GNPC boss was cleared by the Court of Appeal yesterday after been jailed in 2008 for willfully causing financial loss to the state.
At a press conference in Accra following his discharge, Mr. Tsikata said even though he has no regret serving in public office, he wants to remain in the private sector where he can contribute in his little way to the country’s development.
“I have no intention to enter any public service at this time. I am happy to be in the private sector doing the things that I am doing at this time and also hopefully contributing in a small measure to the country’s progress,” he noted.
